I'm up late again flipping through the channels, guess who I ran into... If you guessed the subject's of my next blog, then you are correct. I personally cannot believe that it has taken me this long to write a post about the amazingness that is Girls Gone Wild... Well, here it is...
If you have ever braved the wee hours of the night/morning you have no doubt seen Joe Francis's cash cow, drunk whorish party girls... It probably fell somewhere in between the Party line Phone Sex commercial and some ab workout infomercial. Its the one that gently reminds you that some content is not suitable for children under 18... Well that's not fair, because I am pretty sure some of the girls on those videos fall into that category. At least that was the report from the dude who kept knocking Francis's soap out of his hand whilst he was in prison. But that's neither here nor there, allow me to briefly touch on the greatest business plan in the history of the world, and then I'll take a bit more time touching on the girls.
I would like to have been a fly on the wall when this dude decided to show up at a wild spring break bash with a video camera. For years I tried to do this and was immediately labeled the creepy guy. I realize now that my problem was the lack of the wonderful incentives. T-Shirts! Why didn't I think of that???? That was the piece of the puzzle that I was missing, I tried candy, I tried money, but all I needed to do was to hand out some lousy shirts and I would have been flying around in my own private jet by now. Oh, the world that we live in...
Enough about the business though, let's get to the girls... First off I have to admit as much as I love boobies these commercials actually make me a little uncomfortable/borderline sad. In half of them it seems as though they have lured the drunkest girl on the beach or at the bar away from her friends. They take her back to their RV and corner her until she complies with the shirt off policy they are running in there. I know most guys love the ease of a drunk girl, but to film the whole process just seems dirty and awkward to me...
Sure the girls sign a waiver and accept the shirt, but at that point they probably also had to be reminded their name. Maybe I just don't know the right girls, but the ones I know don't seem like they would be all that willing to birthday suit it up for free. I honestly wonder how many of these girls wake up the next day wearing a Girls Gone Wild shirt and don't remember where it came from. They may not ever remember, at least until they are up late one night and see their drunk asses bouncing on some bed in an RV with a censor mark over half of their body. You may say, "well look at porn, its the same thing", and to that I say, "I have, plenty , but porn is different, those girls are typically paid actors, who have consciously and soberly(ish) decided to be in the videos". I could be wrong though, all of the girls who've been in these videos may not be ashamed at all, they may be happy and or even proud to someday share their college/high school triumph with their future children. I am just thankful that they didn't have this type of thing when my mom was younger, I'd hate to be doing research on the computer and accidentally see something unfortunate. I would feel awful, almost as awful as I'd feel if one of my kids someday accidentally watches any Eddie Murphy movie made after 1999, tragic.
Those of you out there that are now labeling me old fashioned, I say nay, I am new fashioned, I am hip. I love black presidents, women doctors, and gay soldiers, I just feel awkward that we have a world that creates a millionaire out of a dude who sells videos of drunk girls stripping, this stuff should be free on the Internet. I feel like if I had more male readers this post would actually cause a stir, cause I'm sure something like 1 out of 5 guys has a GGW on his DVD shelf, but since I believe the majority of you are females I am hoping at least you guys agree with me. I am not placing all the blame on the creator of GGW, and I am not taking all of the blame away from the drunk trashy girls. I guess I have just decided to point two fingers instead of one. Or maybe the truth is that I just want these temptations off of my TV because my credit card is already at its limit... I guess you will never know.
Imagine how much fun I am going to have searching for this post's picture...

why would anyone pay for nudity of any sort anymore its everywhere, and for free! Trust me I should know lol, if you need guidance as to where to find this free nudity hit me up!! lol ahahah! (ok no freaks please)
I can't say I'm a fan of this whole thing either. If I wanted to see a sleazy creepy guy take advantage of a girl who can't speak properly, I'd hang out at pubs (or spend more time with my brother)
Do you think the girls who flash on GIRLS GONE WILD are portraying women negatively?
I wonder if the girls on the cover or in the commercials get two t-shirts?
I agree! They're always either drunk or too drugged up to know what's going on. I guess that's legal, huh?
Oh well, in a way they deserve it for getting to f_______ up to remember anything.
I've seen a girls gone wild video before and frankly I wasn't impressed. Like you said this is stuff you can get on the internet for free. The thing that I understand even less is those sex-text-lines. You pay two bucks just to text dirty! That's way worse than the 900 lines, I don't get how anyone could be that lonely/horny/mentally ill to pay for something like that!
Call me old-fashioned, but I always thought that if a girl wanted to be in a scandalous video it should be on purpose (Pamela Anderson need not apply).
I didn't know they get t-shirts?! I did it for free!
I want to throw my bra I mean my shoe at the tv everytime I see one of these commercials. i don't really care about them showing their boobs for free, they can do what they want... I just think the commercials are freaking obnoxious!
I bet you had fun searching!
Boy, am I glad there was no internet around when I was a stripper.
I had a friend who worked with them and showed some behind the scenes stuff of the cameramen filming the girls. It was disgusting. Needless to say the friend quit soon afterward.
I have to agree with Christopher. Who are the retards still buying this crap when you can watch porn for free? Haven't they heard of the internet?
Always an unpleasant aspect of my late night hanging out/TV watching. I mean.... I just don't want to see it. I think most people feel the same about it. I'm glad you people are so normal.
i have seen one of these before too. i was like 13 or 14 though, so back then it was more tits than i had ever seen at once.
kiki, no internet around when you were a stripper? disappointing. were there at least cameras? ;)
I wonder if the girls on the cover or in the commercials get two t-shirts?
